Artist Of The Week

City And Colour C

HQ: St. Catherines, Ontario Canada

Style: Acoustic/Folk/Soul

Discography: Sometimes, Bring Me Your Love, The Myspace Transmissions (live), City and Colour - Live

Why You Should Listen:
This vid pretty much explains it, but he's also the singer for hardcore band Alexisonfire.
I would recommend Sometimes, & Bring Me your Love to anyone that breathes. I cant recommend it highly enough.

I know we’re takin’ chances, you told me life was a risk...

So, this whole blog thing is still kind of new, and its taking some real intestinal fortitude (which we dont have) to update it regularly. I wish I could say that we were going to do better, and that we were turning over a new leaf and starting afresh... but I dont want to give you anything to hold against me when I fail.

First, Here are a few pictures from sarahs camera from Cancun. The rest are on My camera, and who knows how long that will take.

Artist Of The Week

Band Of Annuals
HQ: Salt Lake City, UT

Style: Americana

Discography: Let Me Live, Band Of Annuals EP , Repondez

Why You Should Check Them Out:
"...The alt. country album of the year has gone unnoticed seemingly, by everyone. With it’s minimalism approach leaving room for just about everyone to move on into the wide expanses of the recording and feel right at home it's the perfect to get lost with..."

"That devastating combo of heartbreaking alt-country earnestness and perfect pop-hook craftsmanship is elusive, which makes the victory all the sweeter when a band in your own back yard nails it. Band Of Annuals are that band right now." (BF) City Weekly

Artist Of The Week

So, every week we're gonna' highlight a new band/artist. We have an abnormal wealth of good music that we felt guilty keeping it to ourselves. The artist will be someone that has been keeping out stereos busy all week.

We decided to kick off this portion of our blog with Utah locals "Love you Long Time"... Because... how can you not love them? I tried to not fall in love... I almost gave myself an aneurysm.

HQ: Salt Lake City, UT

Style: Synth-pop meets 80's Hip-hop

Discography: "Party 'Til You're Pooped, "Dont Poop on My Party" New Album Out In October Party To The People

Why you should listen to 'em: First, their lineup consists of musicians named MC Oz, Sally Kat, Chains, and Professor Liam. Second, sited them as heirs to the synth-pop throne. Third, They are fun as all get out. You cant help but smile, dance and sing along; I dont care if you like synth-pop or not. And Fourth, They are playing with Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer in Februrary.

Well, the night is young, & so we dance...

So, this might have been the best labor day of all labor days in the history of laboring.

Perfect weather, neither of us had to be in to work... AND we got to see another one of my favorite bands... The Stiletto Formal (

They put on just a great live show, tons of energy and super dance-able. Anyway, I have a history with these guys. To make it short, we opened for them years ago, and they crashed at my place, ( I was living in the dorms at the time).

So, this time around, they remembered that night, we ended up talking at the merch table, and they made their way over and crashed with us again. It was alot of fun to share our new home with them, and just catch up. They're great.
